About

A native Tucsonan, and once a sworn Brooklynite, I was drawn to Newburgh by the remarkable architecture and walkability of this small but mighty city situated amidst the natural splendor of the Hudson Valley and within easy reach of the big city. I’m a true believer in this place and am involved in preservation organizations as well as local development and real estate. It’s an honor to serve as a Commissioner for Newburgh’s Architectural Review Commission and as a Trustee of the Historical Society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands.

I’m often at work restoring an 1836 Greek Revival town and carriage house, in the center of Newburgh, attributed to Thornton MacNess Niven. In this, I’ve followed the example of my own parents, who restored and built adobe houses across downtown Tucson and taught me a deep love and appreciation for cities, buildings, and craft. I share a floor of the home with my partner Andrew, a NYC-based architect, and our deaf but spirited dog, Casper.

In earlier careers, I managed teams in television (MTV, HGTV, and most recently at Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show) and also helped scale CitiBike and other American urban bike share networks while with Lyft in San Francisco and New York.
